VAT is not due on books because they are Zero Rated. Books are delivered using new Incoterms which are categorised as ‘Delivery at Place’. Buyers from the European Union will be responsible for the declaration and payment for all duty and taxes, although under the EA trade agreement there are none for UK printed children’s books at this time.
