Bought this in Dingle whilst visiting from Australia. Also own an Irish Terrier. My granddaughter loves this story. Beautifully illustrated and she likes to repeat the rhyming story.

I echo what everyone said about this book! It is delightful and beautiful. I would really like to comment on how helpful Mark was in helping me get the book. It was a gift for a family of Irish Terrier lovers in the US - where I couldn't find the book. Not only did he get it to me quickly, he signed it with a lovely and personal note. The recipients were so excited! Of all the gifts we gave them, this got the biggest smiles. Thank you, Mark!

What an absolutely hilarious and brilliant book! We all loved this tale of a girl who is perfectly perfect just the way she is! The story is really cleverly written - it starts off gently but quickly takes an unexpected and really funny turn (or perhaps not so unexpected for those of us lucky to have a Gorgeous Girl in our family...!) The wonderful and colourful artwork really helps bring the story to life - with lots of really funny details. The author Amelie Stratton has written a fantastic and heart-warming story with an important and positive message about being true to yourself, which we all really enjoyed. Amelie is a talented writer to watch for the future - we can't wait for her next book!

Another fantastic Naughty Bird book full of wit and whimsey! You don't need to have been to Dingle to enjoy this wonderful third instalment in the series, which has become much-loved in our house (we have all three!) The hilarious and heart-warming tale is told through ingenious rhyme and is accompanied by fun and quirky, almost dreamlike artwork (with a number of slightly cheeky details!) Like all of the stories in the series, this book has been really enjoyed by readers young and old. The positive and very relevant messages in the tale are gently woven-in to the story and really warm the soul. It's great to have the talented author and artist return for another instalment - we can't wait for the next one!

Gorgeous Girl is a super, cheeky childrenâs book, showing that perfection has many different sidesâŠsweet, caring, loving and also totally disgusting, smelly, noisy and more! The book concludes that, (as most of us with little cherubs in our lives would agree) we love them, not despite but because of all of these things!

This book has officially become the favourite in our house. At bedtime it's the cutest thing to hear my 2 year old shout TOAD PIG with so much excitement. The story is absolutely beautiful with a great message about kindness. Not to mention a lovely princess (what's not to love?!?!). Highly recommend đ

My daughter loves the book and my husband has to read it to her all the time. What a great surprise for him when he unwrapped his birthday present and found that there was also âthe dingle sheepâ! Really lovely books. Waiting for one about a pony :-).

Thumbs up to Mark Stratton and his beautifully illustrated children's books, The Dingle Sheep who could not sleep, The Dingle Dog who lost his bark & Toad Pig. Mark went out of his way to get these books to my grandchildren in time for Christmas. They absolutely love the stories. Watch out for his next Dingle book due out this year.

What a thoroughly enjoyable book and the illustrations were amazing too! In my opinion , this book teaches children that in life, being different is not a bad thing at all, that we need to be kind to everyone and that we need to treat everyone as equals and with respect. I couldnât wait to find out how this book ends. A book you can buy and enjoy at any time of the year. Why not buy this book as a present for a loved one at Christmas?

I loved the rhyming nature of this book, so easy to follow. It made you want to read to the end to find out whether the dog got his bark back. For me, it confirmed how a event in life can have such an impact on a dog as well as a human and how important perseverance actually is.

I was truly moved by the story of the Dingle dog. I am annoyed that I didn't find it sooner. The story is beautiful and breathtaking in its simplicity and its clear stirring messages. Ask for help and don't give up! The pictures are gorgeous and hide funny and charming details. Definitely think it should be part of every bookshelf at home and at school. I have ordered the sheep and toad books and cannot wait!

A wonderful tale with a subtle but inspiring message and really interesting characters. The fun ryhming verse makes it ideal for reading to younger children and new readers. We love the fantastic artwork which is full of vivid colour and detail. A brilliant book!

This is by far mine an Aoifeâs favourite book Iâm afraid. I have to read this every night she knows this so well never before Iâve turned the page. She has pointed out the funny little drawings especially the last page of the book. I wonât spoil it for anyone so you should buy it an find out as dingle dog goes on his adventure. Love this book so much. I have an Irish terrier mix that loves to bark and looks exactly like the Dingle dog. My little girl gets so much delight and joy from this book. The story is sweet and illustrations are amazing. Another rhythmical read that never gets old or tired. I know this book will be one my daughter treasures for her life. Truly love this.

We received the Dingle Sheep as a present for my newborn and itâs become our favourite story to read any time of the day. I really love how you can get into a rhythm reading the story and Iâm sure itâll remain a favourite for years to come when she can understand what weâre reading! Hi, I would like to say that Dingle dog is a brilliant book. đ I read it to my daughter every night and never get bored of reading. I recently emailed Mark to say how much we enjoyed the book. Then brought the 2nd book (The dingle sheep who couldnât sleep). I didnât even get half way through the book and it had done its work and my daughter had fallen asleep. My first grade students LOVED reading the Dingle dog. They loved the story and rhyming, as well as the illustrations (especially the humorous picture at the end of the book). I would highly recommend this book for every classroom and home.

My daughter received Dingle Dogâs take as a gift from her aunt. From the first few lines in that first read, we were hooked! The Dingle Dog is an absolutely delightful character who models nice manners and a very practical way to work through a problem. The rhythm and rhyme of the text paired with the beautiful illustrations have won this charming book a place among my daughterâs favorite books!

Our family was thrilled to discover the Dingle Sheep after having fallen in love with Dingle Dog. Everything we appreciate about the first story is present in this one! It has sparked in my two year old daughter a curiosity about the sky and celestial bodies that is so fun for us to explore. We hope to meet more Dingle animals in future stories.

We own a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier and my grandson loves him. This book and its illustrations capture the Wheaten spirit perfectly. Mark was kind enough to inscribe a copy to my grandson and ship it to the US for us. We enjoyed reading the story and the illustrations were just great. We are hoping there will be more sweet books from this duo very soon!

We love this book! The sweet, inspiring story and the illustrations are endearing. While vacationing in Ireland I bought this book to bring back to Boston for my 4 month old grandson. When I read him the book he was more animated and excited than Iâve seen him be with any other book. He was trying to talk to the characters in the book while moving his arms and legs, obviously very engrossed in the whole experience. I just ordered 6 more from Mark to share with others. Very pleased with this find!

I found this book while vacationing in Dingle and instantly fell in love with the story and illustrations. The story has a sweet lesson involved and is enjoyable for both kids and adults. The illustrations are adorable. Unfortunately, I didnât buy it and when I got home I regretted not purchasing it. I contacted Naughty Bird Books and Mark and they sent me several signed copies all the way to Oklahoma! The shipping was reasonable and I got my books within a week. I am thrilled to have my Dingle Dog book! Thank you for a story my family will enjoy for years and a great reminder of our time in Dingle.

We love this book! It is a regular bedtime read in our house â my son loves the whimsical illustrations with the (slightly cheeky!) details. The rhyming verses are really clever and makes it particularly fun to read, plus itâs got a nice positive message at the end. I was attracted by the books front cover when shopping in Dingle, Ireland. When i read it to my grandchildren back in the USA the response was ecstatic! They loved the story and the illustrations; this book will be a classic! They have me reading it over and over again, the rhymes are very good, natural and spot on!
